Purpose
To connect student iPhones to the Geelong Grammar School (GGS) Wifi network
Background
- Students are required to install the Intune Company Portal application on their iPhone in order to be able to connect to the GGS Wifi network.
Prerequisites
- Users must have a current GGS Network Account.
- Must be using an iPhone
Instructions
1. Make sure you are NOT connected to school Wi-Fi to complete the steps below.
2. Open the app store on your iPhone and install Intune Company Portal.
Sign in using your GGS School Credentials i.e 35675@ggs.vic.edu.au
On the Intune Company Portal app, select Begin, Continue, Continue
3. Please Allow the downloading of the configuration profile to continue the installation.
4. The profile will now be downloaded, continue to Step 5.
5. Please open Settings > and begin the profile installation by selecting Profile Downloaded.
6. Please select Install.
7. Enter the Passcode for your phone.
8. Select Install for the root certificate.
Select Trust for Remote Management
9. Select Install.
10. Select Done.
Back on the Intune Company Portal app it should now say done
11. Important, please remain connected to the 4g service and allow 10 minutes for everything to finish installing, before following the below steps to connect to the GGS Wireless
You may now connect to the GGS Wi-Fi on your phone.
1. In Settings go to Wi-Fi and connect to GGS-STU-N
2. You will now need to log into the Captive Portal to access the internet. Please again enter your 5-digit number username and school password. Then select Login.
(ex. 12345 and Password1)
You have now successfully connected your iPhone to the GGS wireless network.
